If you have problems with your electric blinds, you are very close to a smooth repair service from BrokenBlinds. If we have enough information regarding the project (pictures, description of the problem, branded products) and the issue is of a low complexity or a very common one, based on you request we can, by return, send you a quote for repairs, on-site or involving collection-delivery.
If it’s unclear what the problem is (the “it doesn’t work scenario“) the motorised blinds are lacking logos of manufacturer or the project is a medium to high complexity or size, we offer a site survey and fault finding. We come and test the blinds, part by part, asses the problem and if possible rectify it on the spot (usually the motors or controls have lost their settings or have a power interruption that wipes settings or signals – synchronization).
If parts need replacing or the blinds need a more complex repair, we then quote for further repairs. Almost 65% of the small – medium projects are solved on the first visit, with the rest of 35 on a second visit, when the right parts and motors have been identified.

Mostly manufactured by known brands, electric venetian blinds have a good design and are powered by quality motors — but they do have a limited lifespan and can fail from wear.
Cords and motors are the most likely failure points. Repairing or replacing them brings the blind back to a full life-cycle at a fraction of the replacement cost.
